Medieval Times On Friday Robert and I went to Medieval Times for dinner. It is a restaurant that serves a dinner along with a show. The restaurant and arena are housed in a large building adorned in medieval decor. All of the people working there are dressing in period style clothing and talk with the appropriate jargon and accents. Purchasing tickets is the easy part. Then you must wait for about an hour for the show to start. This gives you plenty of time to walk around the displays and buy swords, medieval dolls, and various other knickknacks. Finally people are ushered into the grand arena, by order of the knight they are representing to eat. They watch a night of sword fighting and jousting. Once everyone is seated the show begins immediately. They start by getting drinks and serving everyone their first portion, soup. Then along comes the bread and meat, followed by more jousting and sword fighting, all in honor of the great King. By the end of the evening all guests have enjoyed a wonderful night of medieval food and silverware (hands) as well as battles and victories (it was our knight, the blue, that won). Robert and I leave thoroughly stuffed and pleased at how much fun our adventure was. Website created by: Robert Parkhurst and Jennifer Pumphrey |
